I spent a lot of time and racked up a lot of frequent flyer miles early in my career setting giftware showrooms quarterly in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, New York, Atlanta and Seattle.
I also designed the majority of the sets, which we'd then draw plans for and make anywhere from three to five copies, depending on which showrooms were being set.
We also designed the showrooms themselves, specifying wall finishes, carpet colors, lighting design and window treatments.
